![]() South Stockholm: one350,000sqm university and research park, as a new facility and regenerative hub to the district of Flemingsberg.Prize winning open international competition, resulting in the commission to develop proposals for the first phase of accomodation. To be assembled around existing hospital and residential areas, within an undulating, wooded landscape, proposals are specific to the site and optimise the given conditions. The purpose of providing facilities is combined with the objective of implanting generative activity into a depressed suburban district. A gradation of density, scale and activity is seen as essential. Concepts and components are intended to interact with degrees of enclosure and openness, privacy and sharing. The important rail infrastructure and new curving cycle/footpaths form a network of internal and external connections. |
